Yes, it is important to choose a strong, stable base that has the capacity to support the weight of the mattress and sleeper(s) since the specially crafted layers of Rejuvenate Collection mattresses add extra weight and height. The Purple Upholstered Platform and Purple Metal Platform both hold up to 2000 lbs. for extra durability and support needed for Rejuvenate Luxe Mattresses.
 
For those looking to reap the benefits of custom head + foot elevation, added lumbar support and more — we recommend the Purple Premium or Premium Plus Smart Base. (Note: Rejuvenate Mattresses are not compatible with Purple’s standard Adjustable Base.)
 
If you opt for an option outside of Purple, refer to purple.com/warranty, which includes details on frame requirements for mattress warranty qualification. Ensure slats are less than 3.5 inches apart and that the weight capacity of the structure is 750+ lbs.

Responsive coils are high quality coils (also known as springs) that operate as a foundational layer for Rejuvenate Collection mattresses — adding a wealth of stability, support, and durability. They synergize perfectly with Purple's signature GelFlex Grid technology, amplifying Rejuvenate’s targeted support. Plus, edge-to-edge design provides edge support that makes it easy to get in and out of bed.

Layered Grid refers to two separate design philosophies within the Rejuvenate collection.
 
The first being the fact that every model features at least two Grid layers: DreamLayer and traditional GelFlex Grid.  DreamLayer debuts a revolutionary MicroGrid crafted specifically for the top layer — delivering temperature regulation and soothing alignment (which many luxury mattresses neglect in pursuit of endless cushioning). Meanwhile, the GelFlex Grid layer operates as the heart of the mattress. It’s our signature technology — soft where you want it, firm where you need it, temperature balancing, pressure relieving, spine aligning greatness.
The second type of layered Grid is featured within RejuvenatePremier and RejuvenateUltimate. These mattresses feature the DreamLayer top layer, in addition to two individual layers of GelFlex Grid (for a total of three Grid layers). RejuvenatePremier has a 2” GelFlex Grid layer atop a 2” layer, while RejuvenateUltimate has a 3” layer atop a 2” layer.
 
To get into the nitty gritty: the two individual GelFlex Grid layers “buckle” under the weight of a sleeper’s body at different rates. This maximizes stability while also dramatically increasing pressure relief potential, leading to comfort that feels like defying gravity, in any sleep position.

Long story short, rigorous testing has proven that GelFlex Grid leads to better sleep quality. With the Rejuvenate Collection, multiple layers of Grid technology lead to the most comfortable mattresses of all time.

RejuvenateUltimate features layered Grid technology with a 3” GelFlex Grid layer atop a 2” GelFlex Grid layer, as opposed to the 2” atop 2” found in RejuvenatePremier. This increase in total Grid depth means RejuvenateUltimate offers increased pressure relief, by comparison.

It also changes the feel of the mattress. Whereas we consider RejuvenatePremier a slightly softer feel compared to the other mattresses in the collection (often enjoyed by side & combination sleepers), RejuvenateUltimate has a truly weightless, floating feel.

The Restore Collection is our hybrid mattress line that pairs the GelFlex Grid with responsive coils. It’s an excellent choice for any sleeper looking for temperature regulation and pressure relief.
