This extra comfort ensures that all types of pets from small dogs and cats to very large dogs and giant breeds can sleep soundly through the night. Should a dog sleep in a crate or a dog bed?
It’s up to you. As a young puppy, it’s recommended to crate train your dog so that you have that option when you need it. Purple® Pet Beds fit nicely inside most crates. It makes a great ultra-luxurious crate pad and as a stand-alone dog bed.
Dog beds provide comfort no matter if they are inside a crate or outside on the living room floor. A crate will keep your pooch from hopping into your bed, sneaking a midnight snack, or chewing up a table leg. On the other hand, a dog bed is great if you trust your pup and want them to be free to wander around and join you on your Purple® Mattress. If you want your dog to sleep in a crate, be sure to invest in kennel pads or crate pads.
How often should you change your dog's bed?
While most dog beds should be replaced about once a year, the Purple® Pet Bed will most likely last a bit longer than that. If your dog stops using its old bed, that’s usually a good sign your pooch wants an upgrade. Also, if you haven’t kept up with washing your dog’s bed frequently, you may want to replace it sooner than that to keep up your dog’s health.
How do you clean the pet bed?
Since the Purple Pet Bed has a non-slip, washable cover you can handle any mess your pet throws at it. If an accident does make it as far as the inner cover, you can use a pet-friendly stain and odor remover with a wet rag to clean up. Allow to air-dry.
