At Purple, we stand by our commitment to improve lives through high quality, innovative products. All Purple mattresses have a 10-year limited warranty. If you feel that your mattress requires a warranty, our team is here to help you every step of the way.
The following video will guide you through our warranty process, offering helpful tips to ensure a seamless claim experience.
Our goal is to make this process quick and easy, so you can get back to deep, Purple® sleep! You can start your claim by submitting our warranty form, which is shared at the end of this post.
Your Purple Mattress is covered for 10 years by our limited warranty. Below are the applicable reasons for a mattress warranty.
With the continued use of a mattress, you can expect some amount of sagging. However, if the mattress indentation is greater than one inch compared to the surrounding mattress areas, this could be a sign of a material defect.
If your mattress is indented more than an inch without any pressure being applied, those are grounds to initiate a warranty.
A mattress may qualify for a warranty if the materials crack, split, or fail during normal use or handling.
You can expect natural wear and tear on your mattress over time. A warranty is used in the case of faulty materials, not minor imperfections that come with long-term use of the product.
With consistent use of a mattress, you can expect to see a slight indentation where you sleep each night. Unless this indentation reaches one inch or more—without pressure applied—it will not be considered for warranty. However, if you feel your sleep is impacted by an indentation, please reach out to us, and we'll work with you!
Damage from the improper care or handling of your Purple Mattress does not qualify for warranty. By this, we refer to damage like a tear in the fabric that occurs while moving the mattress.
Most of our mattresses are also covered by a 100-night trial — that’s your stress-free time to decide if you're satisfied with your Purple Mattress. If you decide it’s not a fit, you can initiate a return. After the 100-night trial, however, you will be unable to initiate a warranty for dissatisfaction — only for what’s covered by the 10-year limited warranty.
There are a few instances where the treatment of a mattress will void the warranty. Once the warranty has been deemed void, we cannot un-void the warranty.
Where The Mattress Is Used
We do not warranty a mattress that has:
Been used outside of normal, in-home, consumer use.
Been taken out of the USA. If purchased outside of the USA, however, you may be covered through a different retailer.
Been used in a medical capacity by a medical patient.
The Purple Mattress longevity greatly depends on its foundation. Your mattress must be placed on a flat, firm, non-spring foundation or bed frame. An adjustable base is acceptable so long as it abides by the above foundation requirements.
In some cases, the mattress will be deemed too damaged or neglected for warranty. If the mattress is stained, dirty, or abused — the warranty will be void. It's important that the mattress is clean and safe to handle when we send our team to pick it up!
Each mattress has a law tag sewn into it. Your law tag is proof of purchase through us as a manufacturer. If the law tag is removed, the warranty is instantly void. This is standard in the mattress and bedding industry.
You are not the original purchaser. If you repurchased or received the mattress as a donation, you cannot apply for a warranty.
If the mattress has been improperly stored (long or short term).
If there are any liens against the mattress.
If you’ve removed the mattress cover. Sometimes customers ask if they should remove it while assessing + photographing the mattress for their warranty. The answer is no – doing so will void the warranty.
The Purple Mattress warranty is NOT prorated! This means your mattress will be replaced at no additional cost to you, making this process as stress free as possible.
There are ways to extend the lifespan of your Purple Mattress:
Keep your mattress on a strong, sturdy base. The greater the support offered, the greater chance you won’t see sagging or indentations.
Use a mattress protector. A waterproof or water-resistant protector can minimize mattress exposure to liquids that could harm its integrity.
Avoid jumping on the bed. We know your little ones love jumping on the bed, but this can cause unwanted tears, rips, or indentations.
