Twin size bed frames

Twin size bed frames typically range from 37” - 43” wide and 74” - 80” long.

In general, bed frames are 2” to 5" wider and longer than their corresponding mattress sizes. However, some lower profile styles, like platform bed frames, may be closer to the exact dimensions of the mattress.

Purple twin size bed frames range between $349 for the Metal Platform and $599 for the Adjustable Base. Please note that prices are subject to change. 

A twin XL mattress is the same width as a twin size mattress, but it’s 5" longer. Accordingly, a twin XL bed frame is specifically made for the longer mattress size and is typically about 5" longer than a twin bed frame. As such, twin mattresses are not compatible with twin XL bed frames. 

Note that a twin XL mattress is exactly half the size of a king mattress, so two twin XL mattresses can be combined to make a split king bed. 

Twin XL mattresses are commonly used in college dorms, while twin mattresses are primarily used for children. A twin XL is a good option for taller teens and adults who can use an extra 5" in mattress length. 

No, mattresses and bed frames are sold separately, though we recommend checking out our sale page, as we often offer a discount when purchasing both.

Purple bed frames are designed with convenient under bed storage in mind. The Metal Platform provides 9” of under bed clearance, the Upholstered Platform provides 8”, and the Adjustable Base, Premium Smart Base, and Premium Plus Smart Base each have adjustable-height legs that offer a maximum of 12” clearance.  

Note that under bed storage units are not included.
